A year in the life with private chef at 40
Posted on 15th September 2019 at 11:09
This is my story on why I started my own business as a private chef allowing people to eat high end restuarnt food without the leaving the comfort of their of home. taking the hassle of finding a restuarant, paying over the odds for wine, getting a taxi, or even trying to find a babysitter. A Unique Dining Experience you will never forget

This blog will give you an insite as to what goes on behind the scenes of Private Chef at 40
So Why Hire Private Chef at 40?
Many of us love to eat out these days and there are new Restaurants opening and closing all the time on the hight street. with an eclectic mix of places people are spoilt for choice. one thing that is growing with popularity though is the chance of hiring a private chef for the evening or even the weekend in some cases. Instead of going out for roughly the same price as you would pay in the high street restaurant. After taking into consideration the over priced wine on menus these days, taxis, babysitters, finding a restaurant you can trust and just the hassel of actually going out. taking these factors into account why would you leave the comfort of your own home when a private chef can bring the restaurant to you? So what happens when you book a priavte chef for the evening?
Well, when you hire me first of all you could choose any of the menus I have on this website which I have spend a vast ammount of time in planning, testing, and tasting of which if people wish to they can mix and match accross the whole menus list or I can create for a small extra charge and depending on menu content a "BESPOKE MENU" talking to my customers in detail as to what they like. Could be something they had years ago or a favorite flavour, even a memorable dish they want recreating to a more modern front. Nothing is to mush hassel. When the menu has been decided a deposit is paid and its confirmed. Thats the hard bit done!
So what next? For the customer nothing apart from looking forward to you own private chef to turn up on your front door step or venue choice with everything needed to make your meal unforgettable. All the tableware, cutlery, decorations, napkins, menus, bread & butter, candles "glasses not supplied" and also washing up equipment. Yes I wash up as well. Leaving the kitchen spotless when I leave. Some of my past customers even say now they would rather have a private chef now than go out to a restaurant. And with table settings like this why would you not give it a try even if you do in once.

Investment
So over the last year I have invested a lot in new equipment, crockery, cutlery, tableware and decorations, this website, storage, and small equipment to give my customers exactally what they deserve. using modern techniques does not come cheap but well worth the investment when i see the satisfaction on their faces when served their private dinner. so this is business you can trust.

I have recently added new and exiting menus on the website for the summer and looking foward to serving my customers with some examples of the following.

A WORLD TASTE ADVEBTURE
&
SIMMER ORIENTAL TASTING MENU
On speaking to my past customers they wanted that something that little bit different so I came up with the above menus. "A world taste adventure" is a menu containing dishes from 18 different countries, 18 different dishes, modern techniques used, high end dining style of the most popular dishes of that country. Something for all, the hardest thing is choosing what dishes you would actually have.
I'm also in the process of doing due to a massive increase in demand the last few years a Vegan/Plant based food menu as well hopefully this will be introduced later this year or early 2020

The Best Way to Start A Meal Bread What better way to start a meal than to sit down and break into some fantastic freshly baked bread alongside some sea salt butter! I will now from July 2019 give all my new and old customers who book a bread menu when they confirm their booking with me. Letting them choose what bread suit them best for their meal
